[Fredslist] Author's contract with European publisher

I have been asked to write 2 chapters for a book on Design Careers, my specialty, being published by a non-profit org through a publisher in Belgium. I believe it will be published in English and French.

There are many standard contracts on line for a US author engaging with a US publisher, but there must be differences for engaging w a Belgian one. I am waiting for them to send me a contract in French which I do not speak but have a friend who could read it for me.  I'd rather pre-empt them and tell them what I want.  Is there a site on this subject someone can suggest? Or someone I can speak with?
