[Fredslist] Would you buy a new Mini Cooper?

Gothamites, do any of you have personal experience you can share about  
owning a Mini Cooper?  I like the stylishness and feel of the car,   
but am concerned about reliability and repair issues.  I have read  
that the car can breakdown often and repairs and maintenance are more  
expensive that your typical small car.  Has this been true for any of  
you?
