Accounting Assistant needed at a  US-based investment management firm registered as an investment adviser with the SEC & currently manages over $5 billion in equities including over $3.5 billion in long-only accounts and over $1.5 billion in hedge fund assets. The Firm principally invests in domestic small-mid cap equities with a long term investment horizon and serves high net worth individuals, institutions, endowments and foundations. The Firm has a staff of 46.
Accounting Assistant -  $45k-$50k + Disc Bonus
Candidates must have QuickBooks experience
They need to know how to use ADP and be familiar with the reports that are generated.
They will be required to enter the payroll and tax liabilities into QuickBooks through the payroll module.
They should also have basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Client will conduct a background/credit check!

Responsibilities include:
Code and enter accounts payable invoices on a weekly basis.  Print, review and mail checks to vendors
Monthly reconciliation and entry of credit card statement
Research invoices (paid and unpaid) as necessary
Enter accounts receivable checks for quarterly management fees.  Write up deposits and take to bank
Maintain prepaid and accrued expense schedules for monthly financial reporting
Assist with faxing confidential documents
Organize and maintain filing system for Finance
 Filing confidential HR documents
Phone calls to vendors
Assist with special projects as needed

Hours: 8:30 - 5:30 p.m.
