I think I am the only Gotham member who will be a Delegate to the
Connecticut Democratic Party State Convention next month.and the Republican
State Convention will also be held May 21/22!

 

As a reminder to all with young activists in the family or neighborhoods:
This is a good opportunity to get students involved in the process.
Candidates at all levels for both majority parties are looking for
volunteers at the conventions. From waving signs and passing out literature
to staging rallies and tweeting votes there are lots of ways to get inside
and meet the future Governor, Senator, Attorney General, etc.

 

Exciting Year:

Republican Party Candidates for Senate (frontrunners): 
Linda McMahan of World Wrestling Federation; Rob Simmons, ex-Congressman,
ex-CIA Agent; Peter Schiff from Euro Pacific Capital

Democratic Party Candidates for Senate: Richard Blumenthal, current Attorney
General; Merrick Alpert, businessman.

 

Republican Party Candidates for Governor (frontrunners): Tom Foley, former
Director of Private Sector Development in Iraq; current Lt. Governor Michael
Fidele, and 3 or 4 other people.

Democratic Party Candidates for Governor (frontrunners): Dan Malloy, former
Mayor of Stamford; Ned Lamont, businessman & former candidate for Senate;

The Attorney General race is a nightmare! Nobody will tell me who is running
as a Republican and we have a legal snafu on the Dems side.
