to understand the status of climate change and current directions in
environmental action and the green economy, you should attend the free
International Day of Climate Action event taking place in Garden City, NY on
October 24th, 3:30pm to 6:00pm, for adults and mature teens.

Two expert speakers, Dr. Vic DiVenere, a geology and climate scientist, and
Frank Morris, a Sierra Club chairperson and green economics expert, will be
speaking and will lead discussion.  This event is coordinated worldwide by
350.org, the international organization trying to awaken world leaders (and
the rest of us) to take stronger steps to halt the trend toward global
warming tipping points, especially leading up to the UN climate change
conference in Copenhagen set for December 2009.
