[Fredslist] Good Connections- all about tribal networking

Last week I decided it was time to visit another group as part of
my tribal networking. I choose the Gay and Lesbian group in  hope
to make connections to be a better resource for my gay and
lesbian clients.  

I connected with Laraine, the GP to ensure that I don't have a
conflict.  We exchanged a couple of emails, as I was still
waiting for a client to get back to me about a pending meeting
that possibly was a conflict of time.  Laraine was most
understanding about my situation. Finally, the night before I
logged into Gotham and paid for my lunch. Upon payment I received
a strange confirmation, so I contacted Marc to be sure that I
have paid.  Within minutes I received my personal confirmation
from Marc, but that wasn't enough. Marc Halpert went over and
above and emailed Laraine a confirmation as well. 

 

Arriving to the, by now very familiar, Friars Club I received a
warm greeting from Laraine, connected to my Gotham friend Joel
(another Gotham "fixer"), and shortly after greeted by Fred. ( We
had a discussion about hair color.) During pre lunch networking
Eric Wood and I had a nice chat about the economy and the effect
on architecture business, along with several other members, and
visitors about topics of diverse interest.  I have learned that
Willa France could design me a ship and be my naval attorney. ( I
am not ready for that leap, but one never know.)

 

During the meeting Fred handed out a printed interview with him
and Nancy. After reading it I realized that I had skimmed through
it in the past, but it is still great overall understanding of
Gotham and a source of  useful information, such as  Fred claims
to be shy, while Nancy isn't.  

 

Following the meeting Laraine and I connected again regarding
divorce and divorce mediation.  (Don't be alarmed! I am happily
married.) Our dialogue was about helping people getting through
divorce with some dignity, financial stability and of course
medical insurance intact.
