[Fredslist] credit cards and improved security

I have been a loyal Bank of America credit card customer for ONE
reason only.

 

They have an added service called "shop Safe".  It is a credit
card number generator that allows me to give a specifically
generated credit card number for a single purchase or
re-occurring purchases of my own specification (date of
expiration, total charge amount, specific merchant).   It allows
me NOT to have anyone a record of my real credit card number and
limit the total amount that can be charged.  So far it has
prevented added charges to my credit card and abuse from merchant
wanted to charge me extra.

 

I must admit that as of late there was some bumps in the road.
However these problems resulted in none payments to a merchant
who should have gotten paid, not an overcharge to my account.
