Dr. Rosenfeld notes that the prosperous Asian and Hindu communities in Nassau and Suffolk are growing and aging.  He will discuss the new diversity of housing for our aging population.  Dr. Rosenfeld will outline current efforts are to create long-term care and senior housing for these communities.   
 
Dr. Jeffrey Rosenfeld is the Director of Hofstra University’s Gerontology Program and co-author of Home Design in an Aging World (NY: Fairchild Books, 2008).  In the book, he and co-author Wid Chapman examine approaches to senior housing and long-term care in seven of the world’s most rapidly aging nations.
