I had the same good fortune with a caregiver for my mother. We had 24
hour care so had three of them for 11 months. They were so good; I
could not believe our luck. After she died, they quickly got jobs with
other people. We call each other from time to time. It is good to know
that you had a good experience. I think they made my mother into a nicer
person because she couldn't upset them. So, she relaxed and became a
nice old lady in the end. They came from a wonderful agency in NY, Ida's
Agency, in case there is someone who needs a good care taker.

Hello Along the Network,

As some of you know, my mother died last year; she had Alzheimer's
Disease, and her passing was a blessing.

For the last five and a half years of her life, she was cared for by
Kathy French, her wonderful, caring, intelligent and reliable caregiver.
I paid her salary until she got her next job with a friend of the
Family; the poor man only lasted a week. So I kept on
paying her until I found her someone new to care for.

Kathy gave us our lives during those years. She managed everything,
including doctors visits (she drives, and I gave her Mother's Honda),
medications, and all aspects of Mother's care. English is her first
language. Weekends, other members of her wonderful family came and did
as great a job as she did. She cooks very well. Her husband and two
kids are terrific people.

Most importantly, SHE CARES.

Fellow Gothamite Phyllis Dubrow placed her with a client; unfortunately,

he passed away a few weeks ago. Phyllis agrees with my view on Kathy.

If anyone could use someone this great, please let me know. This is the

kind of caregiver you've PRAYED for.
