[Fredslist] Fantasy fulfilled ...

Having a Special Relationship with the chisel-jawed guy who sings with the
band is a long-standing fantasy of mine.  Not something I think about every
day, but it comes back on Saturday afternoons, listening to Jonathan
Schwartz on WNYC.  

 

Maybe I dreamed this:

 

There I was at a reception for stuffy T&E lawyers last night, at an elegant
57th Street auction house because of the state bar association meetings this
week, and who's crooning his heart out but Our Marcus Goldhaber.  So I
identified myself as a Gothamite, thereby clinching our Special
Relationship, and the rest of the night was magic.

 

Thanks, Marcus, for making it real.
