[Fredslist] reliable apartment painter and floor finisher

Hello Gotham:
 
We will be doing our floors and painting our apartment in the late spring. Has anyone in the NewYork area found a general contractor or althernately an independently working painter and/or floor finishing person who 1. returns phone calls 2. does a good job 3. does not charge an arm and a leg.    Recommendations would be most appreciated.
