For those interested in 'playing Santa' per the fulfillment of requests in children's letters sent to Santa Claus:

The letters are not delivered to the North Pole (sorry if that's a shock to any of you). They are at the main post office (33rd st and 8th ave) and if you enter the far right staircase as you face the building from 8th avenue you will find Operation Santa Claus.

You can sit at tables and read through the many (hundreds of thousands) letters to find the ones that touch your heart.
