To MENG:

 

Through no fault of my company, nor any financial hardship, I am caught in
the cross hairs of a former client's bankruptcy from 2007.  The debtor is
attempting to collect from my company pre petition money for my hours worked
in 2007.  I am therefore in need of a bankruptcy attorney.  I am not filing
for bankruptcy.  I need this person to represent my interests and extricate
my LLC (and possibly me personally) from this mess.

 

I checked MENG and could not find any listing in this area.  I live and work
in Port Washington NY (just east of NYC on Long Island).  The petition was
filed in NYC in Southern District Court.  I would like attorneys working
preferably in NASSAU or Queens County.  I will consider NY City as a last
resort.

 

Time is off the essence because I have to respond to the summons.  As I am a
sole proprietor, I do not need a high priced attorney catering to fortune
500 companies.  I just need a reasonably priced attorney (not seeking a
fortune) in this area of law to get me out of this.
