Job Description:

An energy Efficiency Startup is looking to expand its ranks in Suffolk
County, NY.  We are looking for intelligent detailed oriented individuals
with a strong building or construction background who want to get in on the
ground floor of an efficiency company working in residential and small
business space.  We help consumers and small businesses make their homes,
businesses and lives greener. Our focus is primarily energy efficiency, but
we want to be fluent in all aspects of green.  The ideal candidate is
already a green environmentalist who is a passionate about helping people
make a better impact on the world. This will be a very hands on position who
may at times have to roll up his/her sleeves to make sure the job gets done.

 

Tasks will include:

*	Energy Auditing - You will be responsible for performing all phases
of energy audits:

*	Walk-through assessments
*	Full energy audits with blower door, duct blaster and IR Camera
Analysis
*	Software calculations and final reports
*	Test-Out reports after weatherization has been completed

*	Recommendations & Estimations:

*	Based on the findings of an energy audit, make recommendations
*	Work with subcontractors to generate estimates
*	Write up proposals and contracts

*	Oversight of work:

*	Working with installation crews
*	Reviewing subcontractor work compared to requirements
*	Oversight of projects
*	Managing costs
*	Customer Management

Qualifications:

*	Engineering or science background is helpful
*	Bachelors degree is preferred
*	Solid computer skills a must.  Will use Excel and Word extensively.
Must be able to learn other programs easily.
*	Some experience in building construction, repair and maintenance.
*	Customer service or sales background is helpful
*	Must have excellent driving record and reliable car
*	Drug, alcohol and a background testing required
*	Good communication skills are a must.
*	Building Perfomance (BPI), LEED or RESNET/HERS training helpful, but
not required.  We'll train the right candidate.
