[Fredslist] Confirmation gift suggestions

Dear Fellow Goth,

    My wife and I could use a little advice. We're going to my wife's godchild's daughter's confirmation. The service itself is on a Saturday morning with an afternoon reception at a local restaurant (Portobello's in NJ). We could like to give a cash gift but don't know what's considered usual or appropriate. We could use some specific suggestions.
