Hello along the network,

I hope everyone is having a good week.

Very glad to have run into Gotham Hispanic co-chair David Henry and the Cayce Crown last
night at Ramon Ray's Taste of Technology session on social media at the Samsung Experience
in Time Warner Center, Columbus Circle.

Thanks very much to Adrian Miller for the complimentary admission to this instructive and, in
many ways, vital discussion of how small business owners can use the burgeoning social media
applications to more effectively market their businesses. In the 2.0 world, simply advertising really
does not cut it anymore. More and more, marketing is becoming about active communication.

I also attended SocialMediaCampNewYork last month at Sun Microsystems on a tech tip from
Adrian. (Thanks, again.)

As discussed last night, there are a lot of social media applications out there (and more are on the
way) and it takes a lot of time to explore them all. The best thing to do is to gradually "test drive"
a few, to find where the audience you are looking for is and to learn how to communicate with
them--what they prefer.

It is doubtful that you will need all the social media applications that are available. (There are some
people who are somewhat addicted to the applications and simply can't get enough content.) Find
what works for you. Find what you can handle and weave it into the promotion of your business.

Happy surfing, Gotham!

All the best for continued success.
