[Fredslist] Help Run Breast Cancer Out of Town!

Dear Gothamites:

This Sunday is the 2008 Komen New York City Race for the Cure.  More 
than 22,000 people, including 2,000 breast cancer survivors, will be in 
Central Park at 9 am to help "run breast cancer out of town!"

Cynthia Nixon is Race Marshal and Emmy Rossum will be on hand to sing 
the national anthem.  Stephen Colbert and Judge Judy will shoot off the 
starting guns.  (Colbert and his family did the Race last year).

More importantly, people from all over the NY metro area will be getting 
together to fight this devastating disease.

We all know a family member, friend or co-worker who has been affected 
by breast cancer. 

If you can't make the Race, you can still be a participant by joining 
Sleep in for the Cure.  Registration ends September 13th at noon.  Or 
you can just make a pledge.
