On November 5th -- thanks to Gotham Member Susan Ragusa -- author Ken Wells will be joining us to discuss his latest book "The Good Pirates of the Forgotten Bayous: Fighting to Save a Way of Life in the Wake of Hurricane Katrina."
A senior editor at the new Conde Nast magazine "Portfolio," Wells spent many years as a writer and features editor for Page One of the "Wall Street Journal," and has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
Wells' newly released book describes "How a plucky coterie of Louisiana shrimp-boat captains faced down the most destructive hurricane in U.S. history - only to realize that the struggle to preserve their centuries-old culture had just begun."
