This just happened to me!

II received a letter from Chase last week stating that my line of credit was
lowered due to a decrease in property value.

My new line from my HELOC now reflects nearly 40% less than was available to
me before.

Listen to Gurmeet.

Subject: [Fredslist] Home Equity Line of Credit - Very Important Update

Hello Fellow Gotham Members:

Just an FYI on the Home Equity markets.

If you have a Home Equity Line of Credit (which you may have kept for any
upcoming projects or rainy day) with a bank and you have not used the funds,
try to withdraw it because banks are now cancelling all unused lines of
credit. Main reason for this action:

-Property values are depreciating

Several banks have already exercised this option and more are to follow.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Good Luck.
