Thank you to my fellow Commerce Gothamite, Joel Schnur.  At a recent meeting 
I was telling Joel that my organization, The Friends of PS 169, was going to 
celebrate it's 50th anniversary in 2008.  I mentioned that we never get any 
publicity and we could sure use some recognition.  Without missing a beat, Joel 
picked up his phone and found out that the Councilman in our district is Daniel 
Garodnick.  Within days, Mr. Garodnick's assistant called and asked what he 
could do.  Today, Daniel Garodnick visited the Friends to help us initiate the 
start of our 50th year.  He presented us with a wonderful proclamation and met 
with the heads of our committees.  It was a fabulous morning!  Thank you is 
inadequate....Joel deserves a Gotham group hug!
