Our legal recruiting company is working on two urgent legal/compliance searches. Gotham magic needed. Resumes or referrals can be directed to me:
1. A successful hedge fund with about two billion dollars under management seeks to hire a senior compliance officer. A qualified candidate will have significant experience with the Investment Advisors Act of 1940, and ideally, broker-dealer compliance experience, and will be either (1) a second or third-year attorney at a law firm or (2) a senior compliance officer at a financial institution. The position involves investment advisory compliance work and working with management on the fund's strategic initiatives. The fund offers a good work/life balance and a collegial atmosphere.
2. Two regional law firms with expanding New York City offices are looking for executive compensation and benefits attorneys. The first firm is searching for an associate with 3-5 years of experience working with qualified plans and executive compensation. Great lifestyle and interesting clients. Great opportunity for an attorney relocating to New York (NY bar preferred).
3. The second firm is searching for tax/ERISA associates with 4-6 years experience in all aspects of tax-related work in employee benefits and executive compensation, including but not limited to qualified and non-qualified plans, equity and quasi-equity plans, short and long term incentive plans, executive employment agreements and separation agreements, and golden parachutes. An LLM in tax is preferred, though not required.
