[Fredslist] Yesterdays Presentation at the Hispanic Group Mtg

Gotham Hispanic's own Lucas Meyer gave a wonderful, educational and
informative presentation yesterday about the US economy, looking back over
the last 40 years of economic policy and history.  He gave us insight as to
why certain events happened, why they may not happen again to the extent
that they did, and how we should be looking at our current economy.  In
additional to the historical perspective, Lucas also touched on a bit of
analysis about whether or not we are in a recession now (by definition we
won't know until the 3rd quarter), and effects on the economy by a "weak
dollar" and the "Sub-Prime" crisis.  Speaking with many of those who
attended yesterday, most seemed to have learned much from Lucas.I know that
I did.  Thank you, Lucas!

 

I'm sure Lucas wouldn't mind giving his presentation to other Gotham groups.
I highly recommend it.
