Dear Gotham,

I am happy to announce that the one-day course, Women’s Leadership in a
Changing World, which I taught on Dec. 1, 2007, was extremely well received. As a
result, I will be teaching it again on Saturday, March 15, 2008, 10 AM to 4
PM, at New York University, midtown campus. The course launched an exciting
and innovative certificate program on Women’s Leadership, from the Department
of Leadership and Human Capital Management Graduate Programs, School of
Continuing and Professional Studies at NYU. Following is the description:
Women's Leadership in a Changing World
Women are becoming a major force in businesses across all industries and
professions as they bring many strengths to the work world. Yet they continue to
face unique challenges. This forum, designed especially for women, addresses
these challenges and focuses on building the skills, behaviors and supports
necessary to assume current and future leadership roles. Among the learning
tools presented is an innovative mentoring model that has achieved impressive
results. Through a combination of lectures, small group exercises and case
studies, each student develops a personal action plan based on her own strengths
and learns strategies to develop leadership skills in others.
Please note that as part of the program we will have a distinguished guest
speaker: Jodie Ousley, Partner at d’Arcambla Levine & Ousley LLP. This
women-owned law firm has created an innovative and highly successful approach to
workplace flexibility that responds to the work-life needs of today’s employees.
