The below email is from a young woman, Shaunda Miles, who grew up in my
home town and whose mother I have worked with concerning a neighborhood
mentor program. She has already accomplished a lot and I would like to
share with you her present project, an amazing gospel musical stage play
which she authored-"Who Do You Love?" and suggest you take it in before its
limited run ends. My plan is to bring her to the joint Diversity-Green
Group meeting on 2/21 to expose her to Gotham and hopefully recruit her as
a member. Feel free to email Shaunda and make sure you visit her two below
links. Thanks.

Mr. Klein:

It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday. Thank
you for your interest in the show!

Inspired by the Book of Esther in the Old Testament,
WHO DO YOU LOVE? is set in a modern church on the
brink of becoming a ‘mega’ phenomenon – WHO DO YOU
LOVE? is a contemporary re-telling of the historic and
heroic tale of courage and purpose – revealing social
issues and challenges the Church faces today.

A little bit about me:
After growing up in my hometown of Roslyn, NY (and
attending East Hills and Friends Academy in Locust
Valley) I went on to a graduate from Dartmouth
College, where I studied playwriting with August
Wilson. As an undergraduate, I majored in African and
African American Studies and minored in Drama. I went
on to receive my Masters in Theatre Management from
the Yale School of Drama under the tutelage of the
late Benjamin Mordecai. I have been blessed to intern
and work for theaters across the nation, including The
Goodman Theatre of Chicago, Second Stage Theatre in
New York, Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven,
Connecticut, Cornerstone Theater Company in downtown
Los Angeles and the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena,
CA. WHO DO YOU LOVE? marks my playwriting debut.

The production had a successful weekend run in Los
Angeles California at the 1910 seat Wilshire Theater
in Beverly Hills. The LA performance starred Erica
Campbell of the Grammy Award winning Gospel duo MARY
MARY. We opened the show in NY on Dec 20, 2007 and
are currently running extension performances, at the
99-seat Richmond Shepard Theatre located at 309 E.
26th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues. The show
will be performed Saturday, February 9th at 8PM and
Sunday, February 10 at 6PM. Tickets can be purchased
online at www.theatermania.com.

My goal in management has always been to merge the
production values of the Regional Theater with the
stories and spirituality of the urban/"chitlin'"
circuit. I want to meet with a similar success as MTC
with Ain't Misbehavin or the 1977 Broadway debut of
YOUR ARMS TOO SHORT TO BOX WITH GOD.

Thank you so much for your time and for passing this
on to all those whom you believe may be interested. I
appreciate your support and please do not hesitate to
contact me should you require more information.

I have included two links below. One link is to the
Theater Corps review of the NY production and the
other is to the Reader Review section of the NY Times
where we have received some great commentary.

Have a safe trip and I look forward to speaking with
you in the near future.

Respectfully Submitted,
Shaunda Erikka Miles
