I sent the message below on Fredslist after Thanksgiving (Nov. 26th) and got 9 positive responses. Given hectic holiday times coming up, we decided to put off the meeting, probably for a drink at the end of the day was the consensus, till January. We are now into February, so it's time to get going. I am suggesting the following dates to meet at the end of the day in midtown: Feb. 18, 20 or 25th.
Please let me know if you are interested and available. If interested but not available, suggest some other options. We can find a central place in midtown to gather.
Gotham has many authors, and I am one.
I would like to gauge the interest for starting a "mentor circle," - not a new group per se - of authors who will meet periodically to exchange experiences, mentor and support each other as we navigate the publishing and book marketing process, whether for the first time or as a seasoned author.
I have written and had published two business books and am working on a third - the first for which I do not have a publisher in advance.
If you are interested in exploring this concept, please e-mail me at pwhaserot at pdcounsel.com. I will see the response and contact you as to next steps.
Thanks in advance.
Phyllis
