As many of you already know, one of my clients if The Brain Tumor
Foundation. We are currently offering free MRI brain scans all over the five
boroughs. All that is needed to sign up for one is to call 877 SCANNYC
(877-722-6692). You can either travel to the neighborhood the 70 ft
tractor-trailer is located in or wait till it comes to you. For the
remainder of December, it will be in Bensonhurst, then traveling to Harlem
and Staten Island for January. St. Albans, Queens and the South Bronx will
be next.

 

At this time, I wish to advise anyone who has or knows of someone with a
non-malignant brain tumor or that cares for someone with one, that the
founder and president of the foundation will be speaking next month in the
first of a series of lectures on the subject.

The Brain Tumor Foundation will be hosting concurrent support groups for

patients diagnosed with a non-malignant brain tumor and their caregivers

followed by special guest speaker Dr. Patrick J. Kelly, Professor of

Neurosurgery at NYU School of Medicine

Support groups will be facilitated by Rochelle Guttman, L.C.S.W. and Barbara

Dietz, J.D., L.C.S.W.
