Kudos and huzzahs for Joel Schnur!

   Our 7 year old requires specialized teaching due to her vision and neurological issues.

   A few weeks ago, Board of Ed informed us that our daughter would be placed in a regular 2nd grade class.

   We called everyone - the principal, board of ed, teachers, to try and get her the education she deserves, not what was convenient for BOE.

   First, Joel introduced us to the Public advocates office.  They looked ibto our case and got the brush off from BOE.

   Second, Joel placed a call to Councilwoman Katz's office.

*WOW!*  Not only did the staff know who he is, the the RIGHT person in the office got on the phone with me.

   We emailed her the records and VOILA!  Ari's going to get teachers trained in teaching kids like her.

   I cannot thank Joel enough for getting Ari situated in the right school this quickly.
