Fred, please post if you will:

Dear Gotham,

As you have all been aware of the T-Mobile debt I was facing and from
which I have now been saved, I would like to extend an extremely
heartfelt thank you from my husband and me for your correspondence with
T-Mobile, which no doubt made an impact on their decision to clear me of
the $7,000 phone bill I incurred after my sim card was stolen in
Nairobi.    Having use George Bush's tax rebate to come to the United
States to be with my family for a few weeks, I can tell you that we are
extremely relieved that our financial plans of paying down our
substantial educational debt will not be derailed by such a hefty phone
bill.  We have learned a difficult lesson in regards to who we trust in
Kenya and are not nearly as naive as we were when moved there five
months ago.

We would like to especially thank Dan Schaefer, Jane Present, and Fred
Klein for sincerely believing that, regardless of my naivete, T-Mobile
was truly wrong in insisting that we pay that bill.  We are grateful to
T-Mobile for finally understanding that we were the victims of a crime
and for not punishing us unjustly.

We will continue to live and work in Nairobi for the next few years.  My
husband finds his work to feed starving children in Kenya extremely
challenging and rewarding, and I am learning a great deal about
education in the developing world through my volunteer work at UNICEF.
If any of you are ever in Kenya and there is anything we can do to
assist in your travel plans or be of service to you in any way, please,
please, please do not hesitate to be in touch.

Many, many, many thanks.  You have truly made a different in our lives.
Lisa M. Welsien
