Gotham SOLO met on Monday, April 14th... and a packed house it was...
including our own members, Gothamites riding the circuit, and guests.

Special guest Raj Goel spoke about networking in an e-world. He talked about
the 10 most common mistakes people make with email... and tips on how to
become a master networker. He must know what he's doing because everyone
knows Raj... and he knows everyone else.

Raj also shared some of the dangers of Myspace and Facebook. When used
properly and maturely, these e-tools can be a great asset. However -- and
this is specifically pertinent to high school and college students who one
day will enter the workforce -- provocative photos and messages can prove to
be dangerous when a prospective employer just happens to look online "to
check out the applicant." That could be your kid!

We're already looking forward to our next meeting on Monday, June 2, 2008 at
12:30 p.m. at the Friars Club when our own Maria Guida will be talking about
presentation techniques and specific skills we can learn and perfect to make
our presentations better.

SOLO serves the needs of business owners and professionals that work on
their own (without employees). Any solo practitioner is welcome to join us.
SOLO does not have a "no compete" rule.

Co-chairs are Bob Formica and Gil Effron. Group coordinator is Jill
