[Fredslist] TheaterVision's Best of Playtime April 19/20 and April 26/27

Dear Gothamites:

TheaterVision's "The Best of Playtime" will include a weekend of 
original one-act plays on April 19^th and 20^th , followed by classic 
productions on April 26^th & 27^th .  Plays were selected from 120 
original plays by new playwrights from around the country and the 
"Classic Author Monthly Series" presented over the past six months.  
TheaterVision's goal is to provide maximum opportunity for theater 
artists to showcase their work using a unique sports-like model. 

Projects chosen for the PlayTime Series are produced weekly.  The Series 
is a theater forum, which approached theater using an approach similar 
to that of the NBA --- where individuals work their way to higher levels 
of achievement by regular practice/performance.  Play Time makes an 
innovative mix of theatrical works more accessible to more artists, 
exposing them to a wider audience.

April 19^th & 20^th -- original one-act plays: /Ante Meridium/ , /A 
Question of Ethics/, /Madness and Joy/
April 26^th & 27^th    -- classic plays:  /Cavalcade /,  /Macbeth/, 
 /Golden Boy/ **
 
All performances are at 5:00 pm @ the National Comedy Theater, 347 West 
36^th Street (between Eighth and Ninth Avenue)

Tickets are $20.
