 Judge Howard Goldfluss passed away on Wednesday, November 7th at his home in Riverdale.   He was 83 and had been battling a form of leukemia for many years.
 
 Howard Goldfluss was a Runyonesque New York figure who had a long and varied career as a lawyer, a judge, television commentator and novelist.  He was also one of the most prominent and beloved members of the Friars Club in New York City.
 
 Judge Goldfluss was a frequent contributor to local and national cable television shows discussing legal issues.  He was a frequent guest on Bob Grant’s radio shows and for the last five years hosted his own weekly radio program every Friday at 11:00 AM on Westchester station WVOX called “Tell It To The Judge.”  The musical theme from “Perry Mason” opened each program. 
 
 About once a month Judge Goldfluss would hire a bus to transport show business types and the comedians who hang around the Friars Club out to Westchester to be guests on his radio program. 
 
 He was also a columnist for several weekly newspapers in the New York area and the author of several published novels.  He lunched at the Friars almost every day of the week for many decades.
 
 Judge Goldfluss was married for 58 years to his wife Laura.  He was sworn in as a judge of the New York City Criminal Court by Mayor John V. Lindsay and appointed to the New York State Supreme Court by Governor Mario M. Cuomo
