[Fredslist] Need HELP finding equity

  I am trying to help a friend identify some equity sources for an upcoming project.  The developer is a niche real estate developer who has completed projects in St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Santa Fe, Oklahoma and Florida.   
   
  The project, for which they are seeking equity, is a series of gay retirement communities across the US .  The communities will include a mix of housing options as well as an assisted living center on site.  This is what distinguishes this project from the handful of existing gay retirement communities (which are completely sold out) - the ability to “age in place” as one’s support needs increase.  At traditional assisted living facilities, same sex couples are prohibited from sharing a room with their partner; these communities obviously would permit couples to continue to cohabitate and support one another.  
   
  As you can imagine, a lot of time, money, and effort has already been invested in the planning to date.  If you know of any connections to private equity sources, please contact me ASAP.  Two of the principals will be in New York in April.  Thanks!
