[Fredslist] Seeking suggestions for donation of 400 plus books. SOS. Please save these books.

Dear Gothamites,

I am evacuating some 400 plus books from my private library and would
prefer to donate them than to sell them or trash them.  I prefer a
service that will pick them up. I am operating under a 3/28 deadline.

The books include the complete Great Works of the Western World by the
Encyclopedia Britannica, the complete works of William Shakespeare (37
volumes), the complete works on world history by Will and Ariel Durandt,
a complete portfolio series from the Metropolitan Museum, Time Life
series on This Fabulous Century and numerous volumes on contemporary
literature, theater, film, advertising and the media, the Atlas shrugged
series and numerous books on metaphysics, yoga and religion.  

Someone suggested donating them to New Orlean's library system but I
have no idea at present how to do that (and no time to search it out).
 
Suggestions welcome.
