On Saturday, March 10th, 2007, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, the
Scarsdale Historical Society (973 Post Road, Scarsdale, NY  914
723-1744) will have on public exhibit an original 1776 copy of the
Declaration of Independence, as well as a signed-by-President Lincoln
copy of the Emancipation Proclamation.   As a long-time Trustee of the
Society, I will be acting as a docent.  Admission is free; there is a
suggested contribution of $5.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
to see rare historical documents in a relaxed and intimate setting; also
on display are letters from Founding Fathers, and other extraordinary
documents.
