Dear Gothamites,

A dear friend, single mother of five, has had to relocate because the
Landlord of her apartment building failed to inform her before she signed
that the building has an issue with bed bugs. Bed bugs were later found in
her apartment. She has tried to have the owner deal with the issue but to
date the LL has not. She has had to relocate and is breaking her lease.

Do you have any advice to give regarding breaking a lease on these grounds?

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Paul Haight-Moulins
