[Fredslist] need suggestion for midtown, mid afternoon bar (for visitors to NYC)

Hi

A few friends are visiting NYC and they want a place in midtown  
(preferably east 50's) to hang out and have a drink or two. Since I  
don't usually have drinks in midtown on a midday I am perplexed on  
where to suggest.

Any ideas?
