Apply Now for NYC Job Training Grants

Business Solutions Training Funds provide New York City employers with
funding and support to develop the skills of their workers and promote
career advancement for their employees. 

Benefits of Training Funds:

. Up to $400,000 provided to fund 60% of eligible training costs, with the
employer paying the balance.
. Small businesses (fewer than 100 employees) can receive funding for up to
70% of training costs.
. Wide range of training accepted. Funding is available for training that is
on-the-job, off-site, led by your own manager or external training
providers. In addition to occupational skills, funding is also available for
English as a Second Language, adult literacy, and math training.
. Access to free one-on-one assistance throughout the application process.


Eligibility requirements:. 

Applicants must be in one of the following sectors: 
o Financial Services
o Food Services/Accommodations
o Healthcare
o Information/Professional Services
o Manufacturing
o Retail
o Transportation
o Construction

. Trainees must work in New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or
Staten Island) 

. Applicants must be one of the following:
o Individual business
o Consortium administrator representing 3 or more businesses with similar
training needs. Consortium administrators may be business associations,
labor unions, training providers or a lead business for the proposal.
. Applicants must require minimum funds of $10,000.
. Applicants must propose to train at least 10 employees.
. Eligible training programs must be new, recently expanded, or enhanced.

Application process: 

To receive the full application, companies must first complete a 10-minute
pre-application. The pre- application for the next round will be available
on December 13, 2007. The pre-application process closes January 21, 2008.
The completed application is due February 18, 2008 and awards will be
announced March 24, 2008. Once your pre- application is approved, an account
manager will contact you.
