POSITION 1:  Business Analyst    

The position is in NYC and will report to the Vice President of Product
Development (Salary to $100k plus benefits).  We are looking for a executive
professional to help research, define the strategy and serve as the primary
business strategist of a specialized commerce trading platform for the
global art market.  This is a tremendous opportunity for a seasoned,
versatile and driven web veteran who possesses a unique combination of
business and product development experience.

Responsibilities:


*	Serve as the subject matter expert and chief strategist on the
auction platform - by defining how to deliver an unprecedented online
auction experience to both buyers and sellers - for the specialized vertical
market(s) in which the company operates.  
*	Developing, writing, and communicating business requirements (BRD) -
including business strategy definition - for the auction platform solution.
*	Fully learn the dynamics - including buyer and seller
characteristics - of the global art market.  
*	Liaison between product and business stakeholders and will actively
work with product management on product specifications and requirements to
support defined business objectives. 
*	Benchmarking with other companies within online commerce and/or
online consumer experiences to define best practices and identify areas of
differentiation/specialization.  
*	Analyze market needs while leveraging a combination of available
internal resources and external users.
*	Actively work with marketing to understand how the how the
functionality compliments existing subscriber levels and/or necessitates the
creation of additional subscriber levels or offerings.  
*	Business analysis includes revenue forecasting, predictive modeling
and pricing analysis. 
*	Work with technical resources - including business advisors and
internal technologists to evaluate and perform the due diligence on
available commerce solutions and specifically the compatibility of such
systems to the existing technical infrastructure. 
*	Provide recommendations on commerce platform selection. 
*	Lead, coordinate, and prioritize interdepartmental activities and
initiatives; regularly communicate with senior management. 
*	Communicating project status and issues with VP Product Development.

*	Delivering projects on time and within budget.  
*	Leading and directing the work of matrix and outsourced resources. 
*	Demonstrate strong business acumen to productively discuss issues
and positively drive the decision making process.  
*	Adjusting to constant business changes which impact requirements. 

Position Requirements:  

*	Bachelors degree.
*	MBA is desired.
*	5 years online experience bringing new products to market.
*	Minimum 4 years of work experience in Information Technology -
including web publishing, e-commerce systems and databases.  
*	Understanding of the art market is highly desired.  
*	Experience with online trading platforms (B2B or B2C) is essential.
*	Strong understanding of the International online commerce
marketplace.
*	Exposure and understanding of web analytics - with a focus on
site/content/sales performance. 
*	Understanding of web audience measurement is desired. 
*	Experience in web technologies (HTML, XML, java script, other) is
desired. 
*	Experience with UI design for software or web products.
*	Experience with Microsoft .NET is desired. 
*	Must be nimble, resourceful and networked to break through barriers
- including market, time, budget and scope.  
*	Ability to articulate and present persuasive findings to sr.
management and cross functional groups.
*	Self-starter and able to drive initiatives forward with little
direction.
*	Work well under pressure.
*	Travel up to 10% is possible.

POSITION:  Associate Product Manager (Salary to 75K plus benefits).  We are
looking for a versatile, talented and self-motivated individual to guide new
products and features through conception, development, and launch.  This is
an exciting opportunity for an entry to junior level product manager to
participate in an innovative project with a growing international company.
The position is based in NYC and will report to a Product Manager. 

 

Responsibilities:


*	Building and launching new online products and features. 
*	Understanding and analyzing user needs. 
*	Researching markets and competitors. 
*	Working with users (internal and external) to actively solicit and
obtain clarity on feature enhancement requests. 
*	Preparing the product requirements documentation (PRD) for items
already defined in product roadmap.
*	Collaborating with engineers to implement defined product
enhancements.
*	Acting as a system tester during and after the development cycle to
monitor system performance.  
*	Generating key product performance reports on site usage to sr.
management. 
*	Preparing training materials for system users - including content
editors.  

Position Requirements:  

*	Bachelors degree - preferably a BA/BS in Computer Science or related
technical field (MS a plus). 
*	2-3 years experience with online products or software applications 
*	Understanding of web analytics - with a focus on site usage, user
conversion, and content performance. 
*	Passion for new technologies and defining online experiences. 
*	Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
*	Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
*	Strong technical abilities. 
*	Experience in the art market is a plus.
