[Fredslist] Hotel suite recommendations in midtown for May visit

Please help my Californian friend and colleague Jonathan in his quest for a
reasonably priced but nice hotel suite in midtown Manhattan for his family's
visit here in May - see the particulars below, and reply directly to him.

Okay, so we are going to NY in May - we used to stay at the Rhiga Royal at
Times Square. An all-suite hotel that was very nice. It's now called The
London NY and is over $550 a night. The Marriot Marquis is $700 for a suite.
We prefer a suite so we can have a bit more room, traveling with a 5 year
old and a 3 year old. I also prefer Manhattan. I know, tough. And I am not
staying any place sleazy..   

 

So, Times Square, Central Park, something like that.  Any nice
recommendations?
