About Dr. Carlos G. Rizowy

An authority on international legal and foreign policy issues, Dr.
Carlos G. Rizowy is a political analyst for BBC and National Public
Radio and the former chairman of the political science department at
Roosevelt University. He is a prominent practicing attorney,
concentrating on domestic and international business transactions. He is
the author of a book just published by Prentice-Hall/Financial Times of
London on the topic of doing business abroad. In addition to his law
degree, Dr. Rizowy holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of
Chicago. 


About This Event

Dr. Rizowy's program will discuss both the history and current situation
in the Middle East, including an in-depth look at the many overlapping
levels of conflict that continue to ravage the region. Dr. Rizowy's
unique understanding of the region from both a legal and academic
perspective provides a sharp focus on the reality of present trends in
the Middle East and an informed look toward its future.

Following Dr. Rizowy's remarks, Gregg S. Fisher, President and Chief
Investment Officer of Gerstein Fisher, will provide guests with a
reflection on the impact of geopolitical events in the Middle East on
global capital markets.
