In the spirit of “Its better to give then receive but what goes around comes
around” I’d like to offer Gotham members a special discount to our spring
production Trial By Water by Qui Nguyen.  Many of you who attended the
Gotham Asian Networking Group meeting this past January had the chance to
meet and speak to Qui, and I want to make sure you get the chance to see the
show.  

 

And in appreciation for all the good will Gothamites have spread during my
time as a member, I’d like to offer comp tickets to Thursday, March 23 and
Friday March 24 performance.  I only have two pairs for each show, so it

An unforgettable story of redemption of two teenage brothers who are forced
to flee Vietnam by boat in the middle of the night.  When the ship’s engine
breaks down, their dreams of a better life are shattered by the nightmare of
being stranded at sea.  Each brother must confront his own issues of
morality when faced with unthinkable acts of survival.

 

Based on actual events, Mr. Nguyen upends the traditional narratives of the
Boat People, eschewing stereotypes for a gritty, nuanced, and honest
portrayal of the many compromises immigrants must go through to search for
permanent moorings.
