Hedge Fund Controller

A long/short high yield/distressed hedge fund managing over $135MM is
seeking a controller.  Responsibilities include: calculating P&L for the
fund; updating and monitoring fund's bank debt and credit default swap
positions and reconciling these trades with counterparties; reviewing
reports in conjunction with the administrator's calculation of the monthly
NAV; and facilitating the fund's annual audit. Job will also entail investor
relations and compliance responsibilities.  In addition, given the small
nature of the firm, the position will require many ad hoc tasks.  

 

The candidate must have an accounting or finance background with at least
three years of experience in the industry.  Strong skills in Microsoft
office, especially Excel, are required.  The ideal candidate is attentive to
detail, analytical, and can successfully multitask.  This is a fantastic
opportunity to grow into a CFO position with a growing hedge fund. Salary
