My friend wrote this book telling of her struggle back from having a
stroke when she was 37 and her need to fight the medical establishment.
It's a very motivational story.  It helps one to acknowledge that if
there is a real goal, you can get there or close enough.  I hope you'll
pick up a copy.   You can buy on line and in store at Borders, Barnes &
Noble.  

She was on Good Morning America last week and is suppose to be in People
