Thanks to the 500 Gothamites who had an opinion on this matter.  It always puts 
a smile on my face and reminds me why I am in this network association.

A brief recap of the general responses...
1)  Hire an exterminator who can spray a chemical which is non-toxic to my 
children.
2)  Go to Home Depot and buy sticky mouse traps.
3)  Go to Home Depot and buy electronic devices that will rid the areas of all 
pests.

I chose number 3 and will report the progress.
