Dear Friends and Colleagues:

I write to ask for your support for a dear friend and colleague, *Jane 
Shrenkel*, who is running for District Court Judge in the Town of 
Hempstead, Second District, in Nassau County.  I first met Jane Shrenkel 
over fifteen years ago back when we both worked in Nassau County Supreme 
Court -- she as law secretary to Judge Thomas Adams (who currently sits 
on the Appellate Division) and I as a law librarian.  Consistently over 
the years, I have known Jane to be sharp, articulate and of the highest 
ethical and moral standards, taking only a no nonsense approach to 
everything she does.  As a judge, I am confident that Jane's competence 
and intellect will ensure that every case before her will be decided 
both fairly as well as equitably and without regard to any political 
agenda. 

Please join me in supporting Jane Shrenkel for Hempstead District Court 
and remember to vote for her on Row "A" on Election Day - Tuesday, 
November 7, 2006.  I have no doubt that she will be an asset to you, the 
Town of Hempstead and Nassau County.
