 Hi All, I would like to introduce you to our new GLBT Gotham member, Nancy Adams.  Please welcome her into Gotham.
 
Nancy Adams is a Certified Public Accountant with 20+ years experience.  She has a Masters degree in Taxation from Pace University.  She serves a broad range of clients and enjoys working with small businesses (corporations, LLCs).  In particular, she works with a number of documentary filmmakers and media companies in NYC, including David Grubin Productions, Middlemarch Films, Steward Gazit Productions, Verb Media, Lemle Pictures, Goldilocks Media, Purple Monkey Productions and Rain Media, among others.  Their works are shown regularly on PBS and HBO.  Other corporate clients run the gamut from investment bankers and medical professionals to photographers and attorneys.
 
Nancy has a lot of individual clients, some of whom reside in other states (particularly California) or in Europe.  Being in New York City, many of her clients work on Wall Street.  She now has as a client a CFO of a Fortune 500 company (ironically, he is based on Georgia).   More and more of her clients (both straight and gay) are having children, which present them with financial challenges and tax planning opportunities.
 
Her firm also works with a number of trusts and nonprofit organizations, providing accounting and tax services.
 
Nancy's approach to providing services is this:  She wants to partner with her clients to help them meet their business needs.   Sometimes that means she will provide services to them, and sometimes that means she will refer them to someone else for their expertise.  Being a part of Gotham helps her to meet both goals:  She is meeting new clients, and  expanding her rolodex of people to whom she can refer.  Nancy looks forward to getting to know people in the group.
