[Fredslist] Seeking packaged produce marketing consultant or firm

We have an opportunity to propose on a consulting project to develop a
business plan for marketing packaged fresh-cut asparagus.  The farm that
produces the asparagus is in New Jersey and the consumer research will be
performed in New Jersey.  There are three specific objectives:

1.	Identify the best packaging method based on consumer preferences.  (This
will require consumer research, focus groups, etc.)

2.	Understand the competitive environment and industry demands for packaged
fresh-cut asparagus.

3.	Develop a business plan for marketing packaged fresh-cut asparagus.

Our experience is on the business side, developing business and marketing
plans, etc.  We have a client in the business of purchasing, processing, and
distributing fresh produce so we have an understanding of the business.

We need a partner who can handle the marketing research side of the project;
consumer research, focus groups, competitive research, etc.

The potential client wants to work with one consulting firm and we are an
approved consultant for the organization funding the project.

We are looking for a partner with experience in the marketing and
distribution of fresh produce with experience in consumer market research.
We would work together to prepare the proposal.  The proposal is due January
5, 2007.
