Jefferson, wife Alison, all of Gotham, NYC, and Humanity should all be proud. 

As a trader (9/11/01), he was supposed to evacuate the building. Instead he made three trips up 78 floors, and is credited with saving at least 18 lives. 

He is also the first civilian ever posthumously made an honorary NYC Fireman.
