Dear Gotham -
For those of you who missed the latest seminar in Gotham's newly instituted business seminar series (developed in response to your requests in the survey earlier this year), this will provide a brief review of Carol Greenwald's and Bill Morelli's valuable and informative program on Marketing Strategies and Sales Techniques. 

The first portion of the program,given by the highly effective Marketing Consultant, Carol Greenwald, outlined the essentials of a marketing program designed to generate the most business possible, in the most cost effective manner, while developing and maintaining an effective and authentic brand. With her inimitable combination of humor and "in-your-face" practicality, Carol laid out the cornerstones of how to conduct the necessary market research to ascertain your clients' and competitors' perceptions of your company. She then gave a nuts and bolts plan for using that information to your best advantage to develop and implement a plan guaranteed to increase business.

The second part of the seminar, given by Bill Morelli, a long-time and highly successful trainer in the renowned Sandler Sales methodology, was a valuable and clearly presented set of techniques and checklists for locking in prospects and closing the sale. Bill provided a program - broken down into clear and doable incremental steps - which walked us through a prospect meeting from a fresh perspective. Bill told us how to level the playing field between the seller an buyer, increase the perceived value of the service or product being sold, and ask the critical questions which allow you to successfully land the account.

The lunch seminar was preceded and followed by some great Gotham networking..
