Hello Alan,
 
We have not yet met - I am the new CFO at Love & Quiches.  I spoke with
Arianna Goldman yesterday and she told me you may be able to help me
source a new HR/Payroll manager for L&Q.  Marge Waldheim left last week.
I have copied the ad I put on monster.com below.  In a nutshell, I need
an experienced person with HR and Payroll who can handle our 200+
people, and preferably speaks Spanish, so he/she can interface directly
with our workforce.

Job Description	
HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL MANAGER

Love and Quiches Desserts(r) has been providing distinctive desserts and
gourmet quiches for more than 30 years to every segment of the
foodservice industry. We are searching for a competent, experienced
professional to manage the human resources and payroll functions at our
Freeport bakery on Long Island.

Job requirements 
* Manage the hiring process to ensure compliance with all applicable law
and policy.
* Use your knowledge of benefits to manage relationships with insurance
carriers, billing, resolving benefit related issues, knowledge of COBRA,
NY State Disability and Workers Compensation procedures.
* Ensure proper payroll administration and effective wage management
with bakery managers.
* Handle employee issues and facilitate resolutions that are fair and
consistent.
* Track paid time off time and leaves of absence.
* Independently manage and develop all payroll processes, procedures,
policies and tasks.
* Solely responsible for accurately processing weekly payroll and
distribution of checks for 200 hourly and salaried employees.
* Develop and maintain documentation and controls for all payroll
activities and procedures.
* Consistently maintain the security and integrity of personnel files,
payroll data and records.
* Develop and manage reporting from time-recording and payroll systems.
* Calculate 401K deductions and report to plan record keeper on a timely
basis.
* Track executive benefits and imputed income.

Additional Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, plus 3-5 years
of comparable experience
* Excellent computer skills required - MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook,
Non-ADP automated time-recording and payroll systems - experience with
ACE Payroll systems is a plus.
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
